Video.assistance for seniors To break seniors' loneliness and isolation, IVèS has developped a service of "video.assistance": seniors can so call their family or their doctor from the screen of their computer or television. This service, installed at home, allows to create a visual bond with a third person: close relations, associations, call centers ... The user - equipped with an ADSL connexion- makes a call thanks to a landline or a mobile videophone, or using a surveillance camera.He can nominate a close relation who will receive the call in first. A “TV-assistant” or a close relation receives the call and views on his computer's screen the person on line. According to the terminals'models, the close relation or the TV-assistant can start the camera to assist the user. If the close relation does not answer, the call is redirected on a call center where he can leave an audio and video message. - call towards an interpreter to translate a conversation (counter mode)
- call towards a phone number to relay the call (relay mode)
- call urgently relayed towards ambulances, police force or fireman (relay urgency mode )
- direct call towards another subscriber (direct conversation mode)
