VRI / VRS IVèS designs, develops and hosts your turnkey Video Relay Interpretation and Video Relay Services infrastructure. It is based on Total Conversation where you can use any combination of video, text and speech at the same time in a call. Your VRS / VRI will fit people with disabilities as well as ordinary citizens : deaf, hearing impaired, deafened and deafblind persons. The software allows any combination of sign language, speech and text communications that suits the participants needs in each call. This service allows deaf, hard-of-hearing and speech-impaired individuals to communicate over video telephones (and similar technologies) with hearing people in real-time, via a sign language interpreter. It provides to administrations and privates companies a tool of integration of people having an auditive problem. A wireless videophone, a landline videophone, a PC equipped with a Webcam allow deaf persons to make a videocall to an interpreter. The interpreter places the call and interprets as a neutral, non-participating third party: anything that the audio user says is signed to the video user, and anything signed by the video user is spoken to the audio user.
July 2009: IVèS participates to REACH112 project - Responding to all citizens needing help.REACH112 is a project partially funded by the European Commission under the ICT PSP CIP programme gathering 22 partners from all over Europe, including user organisations and major global telecommunications companies. June 2009 : IVèS and Significan't sign a partnership for the setup of VRS ( Video Relay Services) in England, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. March 2009 : IVèS develops a page of the Agefiph internet site that allows hard of hearing people to be in contact with Agefiph professional services. http://agefiph.visio08.com/ Beginning of 2008: IVèS is partner of Websourd to develop the first VRS for deaf people in France. The name of the service is Visio08, it is declined for individuals (www.visio08perso.com), companies (www.visio08pro.com) and public administration (www.visio08guichet.com). End of 2007 : IVèS signs a partnership with Websourd, Orange and System Risp to develop and set up a service of online commerce for hard of hearing people. The principle is rather simple : the customers connect themselves on http://www.autonomie.francetelecom.fr/, they download a little software and choose how they want to communicate online in French signs language : they can communicate in videoconference via a webcam with possibility of sub-titles, or in text via a chat. At the other end of the line there's a a specialist in sign language, being used as intermediary between the customers and the advisers. |
